What is the difference between my phone’s face recognition software, and an app that scans an image to help a doctor decide whether a biopsy is needed? Enough training input data, efficiently and carefully guarded, is the answer. Most models today are trained on a few hundred to a couple thousand scans. Imagine if those same models can be trained on 100x, 1000x of similar data.
We want to prepare healthcare as it enters the age of AI. Our mission is to build infrastructure solutions for the new paradigms of tech-enabled care. In our pilot use case, Synth aspires to accelerate clinical trials by identifying eligible patients rapidly. Eventually Synth’s networks will be used to deploy algorithms to aid radiologists.
Our mission journeys through murky waters – data privacy, secure algorithm weight transfer, model results verification, system architecture integrations, large scale enterprise cooperation – and other unknown hurdles.
